Yesterday I had to go to the gynecologist.
You know, for my yearly situation. Which I haven't done in more than a year (I know, I KNOW its the most important thing you can do as a young woman...so say all of my friends). But whatever, I went, I did it, and now I don't have to think about it for the next 12 months.
Here's my question about the gynecologist. The worst part about the gynecologist is that you have to undress and then redress yourself completely, am I right?
This is what I want: I gynecologist who comes to my home who will see me after I get out of the shower but before I put clothes on. Totally eliminates the getting dressed, take the subway to the office, undress, endure the exam (which isn't actually so terrible) and then redressing. Seriously the world is lucky I put on a bra to go to work but to have to put it on, take it off and then put it on again? I have half a mind to go to the office bra-less. And lets not even talk about what my hair looks like after all the shirt on, shirt off action.
I'm sorry if this is an over share, but seriously. Traveling, home visiting gynecologist. Get on it, medical community.

Wednesday Wonderings...
Wednesday, August 14, 2013
1. Is this really an effective political platform? What if I wanted Lady Gaga to be the mayor of New York. Would that be acceptable, Anybody But Quinn people?
2. Is this nail polish the same color as my skin? If it is do we think this is a problem because I think I love it?
Happy Wednesday!

Wedding Wednesday: A Full Blown Panic Attack
Wednesday, April 10, 2013
A byproduct of dating your Fiance for almost 6 years and being engaged for more than two is that you think you have all the time in the world before your wedding. Like lifetimes of time, you think to yourself.
But then you have a friend in your office who got engaged in January and is suddenly getting married in October...a full TWO WEEKS before you. And she is really on top of her shit? Like Save the Dates. Who even knows when those are supposed to go out?
And a spring Monday comes and you start talking to your friend and she tells you she already ordered her STDs (I think it is NOT a coincidence that Save the Dates' letter abbreviation is STD. Just sayin'). And it throws you into a literal panic attack in her office which causes you to email your mother ALL of the STD options in the world, and then speak to her on the phone about them. Which doesn't work out because there are seriously a MILLION options and then you are short with her even though it is not her fault you are a slacker Bride, IT IS YOUR FAULT because you have been engaged for two years AND SUDDENLY YOUR WEDDING IS IN SEVEN MONTHS and you feel wholly ill-prepared for all of it.
To get a handle on my crazy, I updated my Wedding To Do list which I think helped me feel better? But seriously why are there so many options?
What kind of cake do we want?
When do I have to make a decision on a veil and do I seriously want one?
What are we doing for favors? Where are we having our rehearsal dinner? What song am I dancing to with my Dad (as if it really matters because all people will hear are my sobs). How round to I want my bouquet to be? I need a timeline of the day? What are we getting the bridal party? What am I wearing to my Bridal Shower? And most importantly WHY DOES KATE SPADE NOT MAKE THESE SHOES ANYMORE YET CONTINUE TO ADVERTISE THEM?
End rant.
Am I a Bridezilla? Ugh I hope not...let me know if I am? K, thanks!

| Via. Obviously not our Save the Dates, as we are not getting married in London. |

Wednesday Wonderings: These Days on the F Train
Wednesday, March 13, 2013
Does anyone else take the F train home in the evenings from Manhattan to Brooklyn? Here's what's been happening lately...
There is an accordion player. I first saw him about six weeks ago on a Wednesday (that is how clear this memories is) and I had my headphones in. I thought I could hear someone screaming above the volume of Marcus Mumford singing in my ears. When I looked up from my book, there was the accordion man and his sidekick asking for tips.
Now I see him about two or three times a week. This is the original accordion man.
Last Wednesday, after the original accordion man (OAM) exited the train at Delancy, secondary accordion man (SAM) entered at the back of the car. SAM proceeded to play his accordion all the way to Bergen Street you guys, which is a pretty far way! And to be clear, he was not as good as OAM and his sidekick was decidedly less adorable and way ruder when asking for tips.
Wednesday Wondering: have you seen these accordion men? Could these accordion men be more annoying than the mariachi band that used to play on my D train? Opinions welcome!
*NOTE: I am in no way attempting to offend accordion players, my Dad plays one (though not recently)!

Wednesday Wonderings: Am I Breaking My Ears?
Wednesday, February 13, 2013
These are my headphones.
When I go into the cold (my house to the outside, the subway to the street) my headphones click...kind of painfully? Also they are static-y but works than static? Less than two seconds of aggressive static and painful clicking.
Am I making myself deaf? More importantly why don't I just take them out when I'm changing temperatures?
